Gib Fest
Blast the infected to shreds with M60s.

Swords can slice up some fun. Chainsaws can tear apart the infected. But you need to get close for both and well… chainsaws are really loud! Time to go with the ultimate gun, you and three friends armed with M60s and unlimited ammo. This is going to get messy.

Cold Stream is out for the Xbox 360!
For Xbox 360 players this is your first chance to play the 5 Campaigns contained in Cold Stream... We have all the details available on our Cold Stream update page at www.l4d.com/coldstream. Also With this update, you can now play any mutation at any time - just press the Y Button to cycle through to your favorites! (You need to own The Passing DLC for access to Mutations.)

Cold Stream Is Out!
For PC players, we have some map updates that move the big Beta needle to Release. For Xbox 360 players sorry but the Cold Stream DLC on the Xbox 360 is going to be delayed until next week.

We have almost all the details available here on our Cold Stream Update page – we just missed one – to celebrate the launch of Cold Stream – Left 4 Dead 2 is 75% off on Steam! Time to introduce some new friends to the Zombie Apocalypse.

237,412 Players played 7,147,979 minutes for an average session time of 30 minutes.

July 10th Update - Confogl, Cold Stream Release, Blood Tracks

Confogl
Competitive Versus Mutation
Confogl is a set of rules for competitive L4D2 Versus that standardizes many of the elements and changes item and weapon distribution. In general it tips the balance a bit more towards the Infected.
ProdigySim, the creator of this Mutation, has made another update based on community feedback.
- Single hunting rifle given out in saferoom on non-intro maps, other hunting rifles removed.
- Spitters removed from spawn rotation while Tank is in play.
- Natural hordes are removed.
- Hunting Rifle reserve ammo increased by 70 bullets.
- Extra witches spawning on round 2 of Hard Rain chapter 2 are removed.
- Item Limits and limiting algorithm tweaked.
This week would be a good time to test this mutation. We are hoping these final tweaks are good and we will make this the version we include in the big update. So please – if you can – play it this week. Any guesses on how many unique players we can get to give it a try this week?

Cold Stream Release
In case you just read the in-game blog – good news. We have a release date for Cold Stream! The entire DLC consisting of Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Cold Stream, Dead Air, and Death Toll, will be released on July 24th.
With the update going out at the same time (also for the PC), all of the mutations will be available at all times. This will allow players to choose to match into games playing Taannkk!, Gib Fest, or even a user created mutation like Confogl.

For PC players we also updated the featured community campaign to Blood Tracks. Grab it from here and you can choose to play it on Official Dedicated since we have updated our servers with it.

Cold Stream Release

After months *cough*year*cough* of play testing not just the Cold Stream campaign on the PC but the entire DLC consisting of Blood Harvest, Crash Course, Cold Stream, Dead Air, and Death Toll, we are ready to release on the Xbox 360.

The date will be July 24th. There are some other surprises and details we will give you later but for now we just want to confirm an often requested feature. With the update going out at the same time (also for the PC), all of the mutations will be available at all times. This will allow players to choose to match into games playing Taannkk!, Gib Fest, or even a user created mutation like Confogl.
